Synopsis: Kohachi Inugami, a detective who specializes in the occult, shows up at a far off town in the Japanese open country, entrusted by a master at a nearby hotel to research a series of episodes including spoiling and disfigured domesticated animals bodies that have been showing up for apparently not a great explanation. While reviewing, Inugami sees an unconventional little fellow working in the fields. Dodged by his friends and called “Dorotabou” for his odor, the youthful farmhand is shocked that anyone would check out him.

Whenever a progression of creature bodies that decay away following a solitary night start showing up in a far-off mountain town, Inugami, an analyst from Tokyo who has some expertise in the mysterious, is called to examine. While working the case, he becomes friends with a weird kid who works in the field consistently as opposed to going to class. Evaded by his friends and nicknamed “Dorota-bou” after a yokai that lives in the mud, he assists Inugami with revealing the reality behind the killings-yet powerful powers are working and keeping in mind that Dorota-bou is only an epithet, it probably won’t be the main thing about the kid that isn’t human.
